Re: Time in Burlington Records?

Ha! I actually saw this post a while back but had forgotten it was Burlington Records. Too bad abut the modifications. What are they asking for it?

Time in Burlington Records?

I heard a rumor the other night (12/29/09 or so) that there's a Time for sale at Burlington Records on the corner of Bank and Church Streets. I haven't had time to go check it out and see if it's true yet, but if anyone else gets down there, let us know. I've never been in the store (I think it's pr...

This guitar came out of the barn in January of 1983...

Re: Time Explorer on eBay

Wow. Those are some loving photographs. I hope all existing Times get that kind of treatment someday! And I hope the seller can fetch that price. Out of my range though!

Re: great old time

Too bad you live so far away now -- I'd love to see that guitar. I've never seen a Time acoustic in person.

I think I went to high school with your daughter, Deb. Tell her I say hi for me.

Re: Price List 1976

I can't believe those prices! And note the spelling of "Time Kaster." Sollydad showed me this list last weekend and he indicated that Allan would have typed it himself. Does that mean we've all been spelling "Time Caster" (or Timecaster) wrong? Something to consider.

Re: GS for sale on craigslist 05apr08

Wow, the finish on that looks EXACTLY like mine. This one has different pickups and none of the fancy electronics, but in other ways its a carbon copy.

Timeline?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to reconstruct a timeline ("Time line") of the history of the company. I know we're all working form memory here, so just throw out your best guesses. I'm trying to get a sense of specifically when the following events occurred: *Alan moves to VT from Fla *the Walt...

Re: TIME picks! PRICELESS!

I like the idea of posting your guitar's serial number in your signatures. I'm going to start doing that too.

Re: Googling for Times

There just isn't much out there. I had okay luck searching for "Time Guitar" (in quotes) and adding Vermont to the search query: http://www.google.com/search?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=%22time%20guitar%22%20vermont&ie=UTF-8...

EX-8 and big hair in 1987

Here I am holding my friend Dave's EX-8 (previously owned by Johnny Winter) in 1987. The guitar lived at my house for several months that year. He later sold it and doesn't remember where now. It was a monster -- very heavy. Dave often complained that the sustain was bad on it because of the Kahler ...

Re: My Time GS-9

Oh yeah, that's an original Time case too. The handle was replaced by a chain with electrical tape wrapped around it before I purchased it.

My Time GS-9X #152 1983

Chris saw this the other night. I bought it used (obviously) from Calliope Music in 1995 or so for $525. Serial # GS9X-152, built in January of 1983. No strings on this because Chris adjusted the pickups for me and I haven't put strings back on it yet. The pickup selector needs to be replaced (getti...

Re: Green Timecaster circa 1988

I just heard from Matt he does still own this guitar! He writes... "I bought my guitar from the barn factory in south burlington. They told me Jeff Beck played it... so I bought it. That was enough to convince a 16 year old with $400 cash burning a whole in his pocket to purchase." My frie...
